Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience specifically in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) settings
• Strong knowledge of CVOR instrumentation, equipment, and sterile technique
• Ability to anticipate needs of the surgical team and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and sterile
• Assist surgeons and nurses during cardiac and vascular surgeries by passing instruments and managing equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and monitor for potential breaches in sterile field
• Prepare, organize, and account for all surgical materials before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and anesthesia providers to facilitate efficient operations and optimal patient care
• Monitor and proactively address equipment functionality, reporting any concerns to supervisory staff
• Maintain accurate documentation related to cases, instruments, and surgeon preferences

$1,916 - $2,027/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
