COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician - Charlotte, North Carolina

Join a specialized surgical team dedicated to providing outstanding care in cardiac operating environments. This contract role focuses on supporting cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures, collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule Details:

• 12-hour day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Weeknight on-call rotation: 4-5 calls per 6-week period
• Weekend on-call: 1-2 weekends per 6-week period (typically call only)
• Rotational holiday on-call or scheduled shifts
• No floating to other departments required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a CVOR Tech or CVOR nurse in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Strong understanding of CVOR procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
• Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and collaborative spirit
• Valid, current credentials as required for CVOR technology or nursing practice

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in all aspects of cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment
• Prepare and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies for CVOR surgeries
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and nursing staff during procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain strict attention to infection control
• Participate in on-call rotations and be prepared to respond promptly to emergency situations as scheduled
• Accurately document all relevant patient and procedural information
