COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Charlotte, NC

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent surgical technology training with a focus on cardiovascular operating rooms
• Previous experience in a CVOR setting required; proficiency handling specialized equipment and instruments
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiology staff
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and composure under pressure

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and equipment for cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations, ensuring all instruments and materials are readily available
• Maintain a sterile field before, during, and after surgery to prevent infection
• Monitor and manage specialized CVOR equipment
• Document and manage surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
• Support post-operative room turnover and supply restocking
