COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician | Charlotte, North Carolina

Embark on a vital role supporting cardiovascular surgical care in a dynamic hospital setting. This position focuses on providing skilled CVOR Tech support during 12-hour night shifts, ensuring efficient and safe operations in the cardiovascular operating room.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift times: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• On-call requirements: 1 night per week, with 2 weekends within each 6-week scheduling period
• Flexible to cover additional night or weekend shifts if on-call staff is needed
• Potential holiday coverage may be required if holidays occur during your contract
• Occasional floating to another cardiovascular OR may be possible, though not common

Qualifications/Experience:

• Proven experience as a CVOR Tech or in a related surgical technology setting
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular operating room procedures and sterile technique
• Valid certification in surgical technology or a related field
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and proactive in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, organize, and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses during cardiovascular operations with instrumentation and sterile techniques
• Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
• Ensure proper specimen care and documentation as directed
• Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols at all times
• Respond promptly to on-call and emergency requirements as assigned
