COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Concord, NC

Step into a pivotal surgical support role specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) technology. This contract opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare setting. The focus is on providing expert assistance during cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift times: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• On call: 1 night per week and 2 weekends within a 6-week scheduling period
• Weekend rotation and holiday coverage may be required if scheduled during contract
• Potential floating to alternate CVOR site is unlikely but possible

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a CVOR Tech or related nursing support in cardiovascular procedures
• Proven knowledge of CVOR protocols, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Current certification as a CVOR Tech (where applicable)
• Ability to effectively respond to on-call and callback assignments
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Reliable and flexible with scheduling, particularly nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams with all cardiovascular operating room procedures, ensuring sterile field is maintained
• Prepare and organize equipment, instruments, and supplies prior to surgeries
• Support the surgeon and nurses throughout operations, anticipating needs and responding promptly
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care tasks as directed
• Follow strict safety protocols to minimize risk of infection and complications
• Participate in on-call rotation and adapt to floating requirements if necessary
