Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist, with specialized CVOR experience strongly preferred
• Proven experience assisting in cardiovascular operating rooms
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Familiarity with CVOR instruments, sterilization techniques, and procedures
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under pressure
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team

Schedule/Hours:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all CVOR equipment and instrumentation are sterile and ready for each procedure
• Assist surgical staff during cardiovascular operations by anticipating needs and handing instruments
• Monitor sterile field throughout procedures and maintain strict infection control standards
• Support patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgeries
• Participate in post-operative clean-up, instrument sterilization, and room restocking
• Accurately document procedures, instrument usage, and any critical intraoperative events
• Stay current on best practices and new technologies relevant to CVOR procedures
