COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Darlington, SC

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent qualification in surgical technology.
• Proven experience supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular surgery.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments alongside multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Current BLS certification; additional ACLS preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to surgeons and nurses as a scrub or circulating CVOR Tech during cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist with preparation of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for each procedure.
• Maintain a sterile field and monitor adherence to infection control protocols.
• Anticipate surgeon’s needs and respond quickly to fluid surgical team dynamics.
• Document operative activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and properly maintained post-procedure.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient safety and positive surgical outcomes.
