Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent credentials
  • Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting
  • Knowledge of sterile techniques and OR protocols
  • Ability to anticipate needs during surgical procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated skill in setting up and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all required instruments and supplies are available and sterile
  • Assist the surgical team throughout procedures, providing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and responding promptly to requests
  • Maintain and track surgical equipment before, during, and after operations
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver optimal patient care and uphold safety standards
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies and OR protocols
  • Contribute to pre-operative and post-operative room turnover and restocking
