Exciting opportunities are available for experienced professionals skilled in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) technology. This contract position requires adaptability, advanced technical ability, and a dedication to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour varied shifts (start times between 06:15–11:00)
  • On-call requirements: 12 hours on weekends, 20 hours on weekdays within a 4-week period, with a 30-minute response time
  • Weekend call is in addition to regularly scheduled weekend shift
  • Expected to work two shifts every other weekend

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting, with strong heart team participation
  • Advanced knowledge of procedures in ortho, neuro, and robotic surgery for general cases as needed
  • Certification as a Scrub Tech preferred
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
  • Graduation from an approved Operating Room Technician program or demonstrated proficiency via on-the-job training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrub and assist during cardiovascular and other specialty procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and efficient workflow
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-ins, collaborating closely with surgeons and circulating nurses
  • Prepare, maintain, and account for surgical instruments and supplies
  • Flexibly assist with ortho, neuro, or robotic cases when not engaged in cardiovascular operations
  • Uphold the highest standards for patient safety, sterilization, and surgical technique
