Qualifications:

• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience in CVOR
• Demonstrated proficiency in cardiovascular operating room procedures and instrumentation
• Current BLS certification
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt and remain calm in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the CVOR suite, equipment, and supplies for scheduled and emergency cardiovascular surgeries
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating surgical team needs
• Monitor and maintain surgical instruments and inventory
• Support proper documentation of procedures and patient records as required
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing staff to ensure efficient and safe operations
• Follow established protocols for patient care and safety throughout all stages of the procedure
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized surgical environment
