COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Fairview, PA

Qualifications:

• Certification as a CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist, with specialized cardiovascular experience
• Previous experience assisting in cardiovascular operating rooms
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and equipment operation
• Ability to respond quickly in urgent, high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular surgical suites, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor and anticipate needs throughout the surgery, ensuring optimal patient safety
• Collaborate with nursing and surgical teams for efficient room turnover and case preparation
• Properly handle, clean, and store specialized surgical equipment after use
• Accurately document procedures, instrument counts, and supply usage per facility protocols
• Support postoperative care and transport of patients as needed
