Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain a sterile field and CVOR equipment for all cardiovascular surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during operations, anticipating the needs of the operative team
  • Prepare and handle surgical instruments specific to cardiac and vascular cases
  • Ensure all surgical supplies and instruments are accounted for before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitor and uphold infection control protocols and patient safety standards at all times
  • Collaborate closely with circulating and scrub personnel to provide optimal patient care
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative procedures, including specimen handling and room turnover

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), CVOR certification, or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • Documented experience as a CVOR Technician in a busy cardiovascular operating room
  • Strong working knowledge of cardiovascular operative procedures, instrumentation, and protocols
  • Ability to perform proficiently under pressure, maintaining composure and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Flexibility to accommodate surgical schedules or respond to emergent procedures as needed

$1,694 - $1,792/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
