Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as CVOR Tech or equivalent nursing credentials
• Prior experience in cardiovascular operating room environments strongly preferred
• Proficient understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedures
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during complex cases
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced surgical schedule
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room and necessary instruments for each procedure
• Assist surgeons and nurses throughout operative procedures, ensuring all tools and supplies are readily available
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and assist with infection prevention protocols
• Monitor patient conditions intraoperatively, providing alerts to the surgical team as needed
• Handle surgical specimens with precision and document case notes accurately
