Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent surgical technologist credential
  • Proven experience in cardiovascular operating room procedures
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
  • Familiarity with CVOR protocols, equipment, and infection control measures
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and nursing staff with preparation, setup, and intraoperative support during cardiovascular surgical cases
  • Maintain a sterile field and uphold the highest standards of patient safety throughout all procedures
  • Ensure necessary CVOR equipment, supplies, and instruments are properly prepared, counted, and maintained
  • Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team, promptly providing supplies or assistance as required
  • Accurately document procedures, supply usage, and any unusual occurrences in accordance with facility protocols
  • Follow safety and infection prevention guidelines, contributing to an environment of excellence in patient care
