Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate or diploma from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), preferably with CVOR specialty.
• Previous experience working as a CVOR Tech or similar surgical technologist role.
• Comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular operating room procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon’s needs and respond to evolving intraoperative situations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and inventory cardiovascular-specific surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist the surgical team during CVOR procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
• Adhere strictly to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor equipment functionality and support troubleshooting when necessary.
• Document operative procedures and related patient data accurately.
• Uphold professional standards and stay current with advancing CVOR technology and techniques.
