COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician | Huntersville, North Carolina

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience as a CVOR Tech to support cardiovascular surgical teams in a contract role. This position is ideally suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• 36 hours per week
• On-call rotation: 4-5 weeknight calls per 6-week schedule
• Weekend on-call: 1–2 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Weekend rotation typically limited to on-call duty
• Holiday shifts or on-call coverage may be required as part of a rotation
• No floating to other departments

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a CVOR Tech required
• Proficiency in assisting with cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Current nursing or surgical technologist credentials as required by role
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Dependability and flexibility to accommodate scheduled shifts and on-call demands

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms according to sterile technique standards
• Assist surgical teams throughout cardiovascular procedures
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies with rigorous attention to detail
• Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team during procedures
• Collaborate with nursing staff and surgeons to optimize patient safety and outcomes
• Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care activities
