COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Huntersville, NC

Exciting opportunity for an experienced CVOR Tech with strong nursing skills to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract role offers the chance to work closely alongside top surgical teams and support patients through critical procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• On-call one night per week, plus coverage for two weekends within each 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage may be required if it falls within assignment dates
• Potential for night/weekend coverage if staff call out while you’re on call
• Occasional floating to a nearby surgical unit is possible but unlikely

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in a CVOR Tech role with current nursing skills relevant to the OR setting
• Ability to thrive during nighttime hours and provide consistent, high-quality patient care
• Experience adhering to protocol in surgical settings, including scrubbing and assisting on cardiac/vascular surgeries
• Flexibility to manage on-call requirements, cover weekends, and respond to urgent staffing needs
• Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and patient safety

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Assist surgical teams and support patient care throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Ensure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, functioning, and set up correctly
• Respond efficiently to intraoperative needs and changing patient conditions
• Maintain thorough documentation and effective communication with team members
