This position invites you to work closely with talented surgical teams in a high-acuity environment, broadening your expertise with fresh heart procedures and sharpening your skills alongside a diverse, supportive group of healthcare professionals. You'll be exposed to varying clinical protocols and leadership approaches, enhancing your adaptability and adding invaluable depth to your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- 8-hour day shifts: 07:00 – 15:30
- On-call required: 2 days per week
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Bi-weekly orientation for seamless onboarding
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant Cardiovascular Scrub Tech experience
- Must possess fresh heart experience
- Active AHA BLS certification required
- NCCT or AST certification required
- Flexibility to float within scope of practice
- Commitment to a 36/48 hour schedule arranged over a two-week pay period
- Residence must be at least 75 miles from the assignment location
- Valid driver's license (required at submission)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, maintaining sterility and supporting the surgical team at all stages
- Ensure the readiness and proper functioning of surgical instruments
- Respond promptly to on-call assignments and adapt to fluctuating caseloads
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
