Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or CVOR Tech certification required
• Previous experience as a CVOR Tech in an acute hospital setting highly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular operations
• Strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Adherence to established safety and infection control procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the CVOR suite and sterile field for surgical procedures
• Assist the cardiovascular surgical team before, during, and after operations
• Ensure proper handling, care, and management of surgical instruments and supplies
• Anticipate surgeon’s needs throughout procedures, facilitating seamless surgical flow
• Monitor inventory of CVOR instruments and restock supplies as needed
• Collaborate closely with RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia professionals to promote optimal patient care
• Support postoperative cleaning and setup for subsequent cases
• Maintain meticulous attention to patient safety and infection prevention protocols
