Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Completion of an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician
• Previous experience supporting cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR safety protocols
• Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments with poise
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for cardiac and vascular cases
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff with instrumentation and equipment during procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques at all times
• Conduct surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation as required
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
• Clean and maintain OR instruments and equipment after procedures
• Support infection control and patient safety practices according to policy
