Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent, with specialized training in cardiovascular operating rooms preferred
• Previous experience as a CVOR Tech within an acute care or hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation, and cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Ability to function effectively under pressure and support the clinical team during complex cases
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Current BLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring meticulous sterile technique
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to changing circumstances during procedures
• Monitor, manage, and account for surgical instruments pre, intra, and post-procedure
• Collaborate with circulating nurses and anesthesia providers to maintain a safe surgical environment
• Support documentation, clean-up, and restocking of the operating suite after each procedure
