COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician | Jackson, Kentucky

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent accredited credential
• Demonstrated experience assisting in cardiovascular operating rooms
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and case preparation
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Current BLS certification (additional certifications may be preferred)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with necessary instruments and supplies
• Assist surgical team by providing sterile equipment and maintaining accurate counts of sponges, instruments, and other materials
• Participate in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative functions to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow
• Apply specialized knowledge to support complex cardiovascular surgeries, such as CABG, valve replacements, and vascular procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment by adhering to all facility protocols
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to promote optimal patient care outcomes
• Promptly respond to emergent situations and adapt to rapidly changing priorities

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
