Schedule/Hours:

• This is a contract role

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a CVOR Tech or in a similar perioperative surgical technologist position
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
• Expertise in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation, especially for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Excellent communication skills to work efficiently with nursing staff, surgeons, and anesthesiology teams
• Ability to remain organized and perform calmly under pressure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for a wide range of cardiac and vascular surgeries
• Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies
• Verify and track surgical equipment before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure all pre-operative preparations are complete
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines
• Support patient care activities pre- and post-operation per established protocols
• Document procedures and equipment usage accurately within patient records
