Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CVOR Tech or in a similar surgical technology role
  • Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced CVOR setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety

Schedule/Hours:

  • Specific hours and shift details will be provided during the interview process, based on facility needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available
  • Assist surgical teams during operations, passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgical staff
  • Maintain an organized, safe environment in the CVOR
  • Perform instrument counts and verify supplies before and after procedures
  • Provide care and support to pre-operative patients as directed
  • Ensure the proper care, cleaning, and storage of CVOR instruments and equipment
