COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Jackson, MI

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or equivalent recognized certification
• Demonstrated experience as a CVOR Tech in a hospital or surgical center environment
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular operating room procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and adapt to rapidly changing clinical needs
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring all required instruments and equipment are ready for procedures
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during cardiovascular operations, anticipating their needs throughout each procedure
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile field protocols and safety standards
• Safeguard and account for all instruments and supplies before, during, and after surgeries
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition within the scope of the CVOR Tech role
• Participate in room turnover and equipment sterilization as necessary
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly
• Support and ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times
