A healthcare position is available for a skilled CVOR Tech in Littleton, CO, offering a contract opportunity with a focus on perioperative nursing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scrub duties while maintaining sterile supplies and sterile techniques
- Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients
- Assemble, organize, and complete case carts as per physician preferences
- Provide appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and supplies while maintaining a sterile environment
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments during procedures when required
- Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and policy
- Assist in specimen care and preparation for laboratory analysis, handling all materials in accordance with safety protocols
- Support timely operating room turnover by cleaning, restocking, and equipment care
- Float to other departments within competency as needed and be available for on-call duties during scheduled shifts
- Promote organizational mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards
Desired Experience:
- Proven experience in CVOR or perioperative nursing support
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to follow established policies and maintain patient and staff safety
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility to float between departments and handle on-call responsibilities
