Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, preferably with certification
- Recent, hands-on experience as a CVOR Tech in a hospital or surgical setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- In-depth knowledge of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques, surgical instrumentation, and maintaining a sterile field
- Strong adaptability to fast-paced surgical schedules and emergencies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with required instruments, supplies, and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team throughout cardiac and vascular operations, anticipating and meeting needs promptly
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques at all times
- Monitor and restock surgical tools and supplies as needed
- Handle specimens and related documentation according to facility policies
- Support turnover and set-up of CVOR suites between cases efficiently
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and policies within perioperative care
