COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician - Macon, Georgia

Embark on an exciting assignment as a CVOR Tech, where your specialized expertise in cardiovascular operating room support will play a vital role in patient care. In this contract opportunity, you’ll contribute to high-acuity surgical cases and collaborate with a dedicated surgical team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week (day shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures
• Assist surgical teams by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and promptly provide appropriate instruments and materials
• Ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and sterilize specialized CVOR equipment as needed
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient safety standards
• Communicate clearly with surgical team members to support excellent patient outcomes
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and regulations

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Certification and experience as a CVOR Tech or related surgical technologist role
• Proven skills in cardiovascular surgical support, including familiarity with cardiovascular procedures, techniques, and instruments
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to remain focused and organized in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
