Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Daytime hours

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent experience in cardiovascular operating room technology
• Demonstrated competency in assisting with complex cardiovascular procedures
• Experience handling and preparing CVOR instruments and equipment
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control standards
• Ability to communicate effectively and function as part of an interdisciplinary surgical team
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the CVOR environment, ensuring all supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use
• Provide direct assistance to surgeons during cardiovascular operations, including instrument handling and tissue exposure
• Monitor and ensure adherence to safety protocols throughout each procedure
• Collaborate with perioperative staff to facilitate efficient case turnover and optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to procedures and instrumentation usage
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the surgical suite
