COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Macon, GA

Advance your career by supporting cardiovascular procedures as a skilled Surgical Technologist within a dynamic perioperative team. This contract opportunity focuses on providing excellent care and technical expertise in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR).

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts each week

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and the clinical team during complex cardiovascular surgeries, including setup and intraoperative support
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring availability and sterility of instruments and supplies
• Operate specialized surgical equipment required for cardiovascular procedures
• Adhere to rigorous protocols for infection control and patient safety throughout each procedure
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and anesthesiology staff for seamless, high-quality care
• Keep accurate documentation regarding surgical instruments and CASE specifics
• Support post-procedure turnover and preparation for subsequent cases

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technology program required
• Previous experience in a dedicated CVOR or high-volume surgical setting
• Demonstrated proficiency with cardiovascular instruments, technology, and sterile technique
• Ability to adapt quickly in changing clinical environments and prioritize patient safety
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with surgical teams
