Key Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credentialing in CVOR technology required
• Prior experience working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, aseptic practices, and operating room protocols
• Proven ability to anticipate surgical team needs in high-pressure scenarios
• Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment for cardiovascular procedures
• Assemble and arrange CVOR surgical instruments and supplies prior to each case
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Handle specimens and maintain accurate intraoperative records as directed
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative room preparation and clean-up
• Adhere to safety and infection-control protocols at all times
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team to promote coordinated, patient-centered care
