Seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technician to provide expert support in a busy operating room setting. This contract opportunity is based onsite, focusing on cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures at a well-established healthcare facility in Matthews, NC. Ideal candidates will bring at least two years of specialized OR experience and a strong background in complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Scrub into and assist with a broad range of procedures, including CABG, TAVR, vascular surgeries, thoracic resections, and hybrid cases.
  • Support room turnovers, stocking, patient positioning, and operation of surgical tables alongside the OR Assistant team.
  • Collaborate effectively with anesthesia staff, charge nurses, and other OR personnel to ensure smooth surgical workflow.
  • Utilize various technology and equipment such as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitoring systems.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with weeknight and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program required.
  • BLS certification mandatory; national certification highly preferred.
  • Minimum two years of recent OR experience in CVOR or related specialties.
  • Ability to scrub into orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general surgery, robotic, and other specialty cases.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork abilities.
