Travel Cardiovascular OR Tech in Matthews, NC

In this position, you’ll rotate through a high-volume operating room equipped with up-to-date technology and dedicated support staff. Take in a variety of procedures—from complex cardiothoracic and vascular cases to general, orthopedic, robotic, and more. You’ll appreciate the collaboration fostered within the department as well as the mentorship available from seasoned leaders, setting the stage for meaningful expansion of your surgical skills.

Schedule/Hours:

• Comprehensive orientation (1 week Main OR, 2 weeks CVOR; five 8-hour shifts)
• No floating required
• Free parking and hospital-provided scrub attire

Key Qualifications:

• Surgical Tech: Must have completed an accredited Surgical Tech program; BLS certification required
• CVOR Tech: Robust, recent hands-on experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Strong ability to scrub in for a wide array of cases (Ortho, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, Urology, GYN, etc.)
• A minimum of two years’ OR experience in designated specialty
• Open to first-time travelers

Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist for complex operative cases within a 13-room surgical suite
• Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, anesthesia, and support personnel
• Contribute to room turnovers, patient positioning, and proper equipment handling
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, sterile technique, and documentation standards
