COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) - Mckeesport, PA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a CVOR Tech or documented completion of an accredited surgical technologist program
• Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting
• Demonstrated expertise with surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
• Thorough understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced surgical environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• BLS certification required; additional credentials preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and arrange surgical instruments and supplies
• Assist surgeons and nurses throughout operative procedures, ensuring sterile fields and instrument availability
• Handle and care for specialized CVOR equipment
• Monitor and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards
• Anticipate surgical team needs to promote efficient workflow and optimal patient care
• Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures
• Assist with room turnover and supply restocking as needed
