COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician | Millbrook, Alabama

Step into a critical support role in surgical care, assisting the cardiovascular operating room team as a CVOR Technician. This essential position focuses on ensuring seamless procedures for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical interventions.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a CVOR Tech or in a related surgical technology role
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent CVOR Tech certification preferred
• Solid understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures, sterile technique, and instrumentation
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and surgical staff
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to quickly adapt to changing situations within the OR

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the OR with appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies for cardiovascular surgeries
• Ensure maintenance of strict sterile field and adherence to infection control protocols at all times
• Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, setup, and intraoperative duties as required
• Inspect, clean, and arrange surgical tools, reporting any faulty equipment immediately
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to promote efficiency and safety
• Collaborate closely with nursing and surgical personnel to ensure optimal patient care throughout procedures
