Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week, daytime hours
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working as a CVOR Tech in a perioperative or surgical unit
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, sterile technique, and instrument handling
- Proficient in preparing, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of the CVOR surgical field
- National or state certification as a Surgical Technologist, if required
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, team-driven settings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and necessary surgical instruments for cardiovascular procedures
- Scrub in and assist surgeons and nurses during cardiovascular operations
- Adhere to strict sterile techniques and safety protocols throughout procedures
- Monitor and manage surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments to support patient safety and surgical efficiency
- Assist with post-operative clean-up and documentation
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team to anticipate and respond to procedural needs
