CVOR Surgical Tech | Milton, Florida

Seeking a skilled CVOR Tech with expertise in cardiovascular and open heart procedures for a contract position based in Milton, FL. This opportunity involves working within a specialized Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit known for high-quality patient care and advanced surgical services. The role demands proficiency in scrubbing open heart cases and a strong understanding of OR protocols, with additional skills in endovascular cases considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons as a first assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including open heart, lung, and vascular procedures
• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment using standard OR equipment
• Collaborate effectively with RNs, surgical techs, and OR orderlies to ensure patient safety and optimal care
• Utilize Meditech documentation system for accurate record-keeping
• Float to the Main OR when cardiovascular cases are not scheduled, supporting hospital-wide surgical needs
• Adhere to professional conduct and patient experience standards during all procedures

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a CVOR tech, with proven ability to scrub open heart surgeries
• Familiarity with vascular and endovascular cases is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of standard operating room equipment and sterilization protocols
• Ability to work 5-hour shifts, with potential for 10-hour shifts, including on-call coverage weekdays and weekends
• Hospital-provided scrub uniforms must be worn in accordance with dress code
