COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician - Montgomery, Alabama

Bring your expertise and commitment to patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. As a CVOR Tech, you will play an essential role supporting Cardiovascular Operating Room procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a CVOR Tech or in a surgical tech/nursing role with cardiovascular focus
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent preferred
• In-depth understanding of cardiovascular operating room protocols
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation related to CVOR
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during advanced procedures
• Effective communicator and collaborator within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• CPR/BLS certification and compliance with all facility-required credentials

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and sterile
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff throughout cardiovascular procedures, maintaining the sterile field at all times
• Operate specialized CVOR equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed
• Handle instruments, specimens, and equipment with precision and care
• Support pre- and post-operative processes, including inventory management and room turnover
• Uphold rigorous safety standards and infection prevention protocols to protect patients and staff
• Remain adaptable to urgent and emergent situations requiring quick thinking and efficient action
