Travel CVOR Surgical Technologist Oak Ridge, TN

Overview

Join a cardiovascular operating room team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, as a Travel CVOR Surgical Technologist. In this role, you will prepare surgical equipment, maintain a sterile field, and assist the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with required call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular procedures.

• Maintain sterile technique and monitor the sterile field throughout each case.

• Pass instruments and supplies while anticipating the surgeon’s needs.

• Work closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, anesthesia providers, and perfusion staff.

• Participate in surgical counts and follow facility procedures for specimen handling.

• Follow infection prevention practices and patient safety protocols.

• Provide call coverage two nights per week and every other weekend, with holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Current NBSTSA certification.

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

• Cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and sterile technique knowledge.

• Ability to anticipate surgical needs and communicate effectively during complex procedures.

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.

• Availability for the required schedule and call rotation.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

• 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

• Call required two nights per week and every other weekend.

• Holiday coverage as needed.

• Orientation offered every two weeks.

• Holiday, holiday-week, and designated break-period time-off restrictions apply.
