COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician - Perry, Georgia

Step into a specialized perioperative environment, providing support as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician. This contract opportunity calls for professionals experienced in complex surgical cases, assisting the medical team through every phase of cardiovascular procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Daytime schedule

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a CVOR Technician in a hospital or surgical center setting
• Strong foundational knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and sterilization procedures
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and maintain a sterile field throughout each case
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent, with specialty experience in cardiovascular surgery preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent communication skills with a commitment to team-based patient care
• Detail-oriented with a high sense of responsibility and safety consciousness

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain operating rooms for assigned cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Ensure surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready and functioning prior to each case
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses by anticipating needs throughout procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining strict aseptic technique
• Account for all instruments and supplies during and after procedures, ensuring maximal patient safety and preventing discrepancies
• Accurately document all required information in medical records relating to the surgical case
• Participate in the care, cleaning, and restocking of the operating suite
