COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Pike Road, AL

Bring your expertise as a CVOR Tech to a dynamic healthcare environment focused on excellence in surgical care. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team in the operating room, supporting cardiovascular procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout every step of the surgical process.

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour day shifts
• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

• Current certification or licensure as a CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist, as required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Recent experience assisting in cardiovascular operating room procedures
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation for cardiac surgeries
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and communicate effectively under pressure
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards for patient safety and infection control

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for cardiovascular procedures
• Ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and functioning
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries, including passing instruments and handling specimens
• Monitor patient and equipment status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
• Support documentation, inventory management, and surgical counts
• Adhere to facility protocols and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
