This contract role emphasizes advanced technical support within the Cardiovascular Operating Room, delivering high-quality patient care alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team. Qualifications:

• Current certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent surgical technologist credential
• Prior experience in a cardiovascular operating room, supporting both nursing and technical functions
• In-depth understanding of CVOR instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room protocols
• BLS certification (additional certifications preferred)
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
• Adaptability and ability to remain calm under pressure during high-acuity cases

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain CVOR equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures
• Assist surgical and nursing teams throughout cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring patient safety
• Accurately handle instruments and equipment, anticipating the needs of surgeons and circulating staff
• Strictly adhere to infection control policies and facility guidelines
• Monitor and maintain sterile fields, promptly addressing any breaks in technique
• Document relevant patient and procedural information as required by facility standards
