Seeking an experienced professional to support advanced cardiovascular operating room procedures in a dynamic hospital environment. This is an essential role requiring strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to respond to urgent situations in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour variable shifts, with start times ranging from 6:15 am to 11:00 am
  • Rotational on-call commitment: 12 hours on weekends, 20 hours on weekdays within a 4-week period
  • 30-minute on-call response time required
  • Two scheduled shifts every other weekend; additional weekend call shifts included

Key Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting
  • Completion of an approved Operating Room Technician program or validated on-the-job technical expertise
  • Certification as a Scrub Tech (preferred)
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers is required
  • Proficiency in cardiovascular procedures, with strong competency in ortho, neuro, and robotic cases for general surgery coverage
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure and variable situations

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cardiovascular and general operating rooms, ensure readiness of surgical instruments and supplies
  • Scrub in for complex cardiovascular cases, providing direct support to surgeons and care teams
  • Support ortho, neuro, and robotic surgical cases during general procedures as needed
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and hospital protocols
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to on-call emergencies within the required response time
