COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician - Warner Robins, Georgia

Step into a rewarding role supporting surgical teams in a high-acuity environment. This position focuses on providing expert assistance within the Cardiovascular Operating Room, ensuring precision, efficiency, and optimal patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures. The role is available on a contract basis, offering hands-on experience and exposure to advanced clinical practices.

Schedule/Hours:

• 4 shifts per week
• 10-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures, adhering strictly to sterile protocols
• Assist surgeons and fellow team members by anticipating instrument and supply needs throughout cases
• Set up and operate CVOR-specific equipment and technology accurately
• Handle specimens, maintain documentation, and oversee sterile field integrity at all times
• Ensure effective communication with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to facilitate smooth workflow
• Support safe patient positioning, transport, and care before, during, and after operative procedures
• Contribute to postoperative room turnover and readiness for incoming cases
• Perform regular inventory checks and maintain orderly workspaces

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

• Proven experience as a CVOR Tech or similar role within a cardiovascular surgery environment
• Comprehensive understanding of CVOR procedures, instrumentation, and aseptic techniques
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and communication abilities
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure clinical settings
