COVR CVOR Surgical Tech | Wetumpka, Alabama

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour day shifts
• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a CVOR Tech or in a related surgical tech role
• Proven competency in scrub roles for cardiovascular surgeries
• Thorough knowledge of operating room protocols, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (preferred or as required by state regulations)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset
• Ability to remain focused in high-pressure situations and during urgent procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with necessary instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Assist surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
• Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout all operations
• Ensure proper handling and care of specialized CVOR equipment
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers for seamless patient care
• Participate in room turnover and instrument sterilization duties as needed
• Adhere strictly to safety and infection control protocols
