COVR Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician | Wetumpka, Alabama

Exciting opportunity available for an experienced professional skilled in CVOR technology within a dynamic perioperative department. This contract role supports cardiac and vascular operating rooms by assisting surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures and patient care.

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts
• 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
• Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CVOR Tech, with strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or applicable credential (as required by state regulations)
• Previous experience working in cardiac, vascular, or related surgical units highly desirable
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments and collaborate as part of a surgical care team
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient safety standards

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating suite by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready and appropriately sterilized
• Assist the surgical team intraoperatively, anticipating surgical needs and efficiently passing instruments
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and hospital safety protocols at all times
• Uphold accuracy in counts of instruments, sponges, and needles throughout procedures
• Support post-operative room turnover and restocking for subsequent cases
