COVR Operating Room Technician (CVOR) in Wetumpka, AL

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

• Current certification/credentials as a CVOR Tech or equivalent
• Nursing background with demonstrated CVOR experience strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and cardiovascular operating room protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and function efficiently in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to patient safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and ensure sterility of the cardiovascular operating room environment
• Set up equipment and instruments for all cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, handling specimens, and maintaining a safe operative field
• Monitor and restock surgical supplies, equipment, and inventory
• Adhere strictly to all hospital safety and infection control policies
• Maintain accurate documentation related to procedures, equipment used, and patient data
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced staff as needed
