Take the lead in a groundbreaking role as the primary nurse supporting a new pharmacy and infusion suite. In this position, you will be instrumental in delivering acute and specialty infusion therapies both onsite in the suite and directly in patients’ homes. You will serve as the initial nursing presence, providing exceptional clinical care and setting operational standards until additional staff join the growing team.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (variable hours)
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required
- Occasional travel up to one hour each way to serve patients in their homes, including environments with pets or cigarette smoke
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care, implementing and managing physician orders
- Coordinate and direct comprehensive patient care in the infusion suite and home settings
- Oversee clinical documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely submissions
- Select, train, and motivate a professional and allied staff as the team expands
- Maintain staff orientation, clinical competence, and ongoing education once the team grows
- Collaborate closely with management teams to plan and enhance clinical and administrative policies
- Ensure continuous operations and rapid emergency response as the on-call nurse
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required, MSN preferred)
- Active RN license in good standing
- At least 2 years of recent experience in home or specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy, or critical care
- Minimum of 1 year within the last 5 years in supervisory or administrative management in a relevant care setting
- Strong expertise in IV therapies and vascular access
- Proficiency in MS Office and clinical documentation systems
- Valid driver’s license without significant restrictions
- Advanced certifications (CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
