Supervisor Nurse Manager - Fairfax, VA

This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape a new pharmacy and infusion suite, providing both on-site and home infusion services for patients requiring acute and specialty drug therapies. You’ll be the initial nursing leader, ensuring continuity and excellence in patient care while developing processes and setting standards for future team members.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (variable)
• Participation in on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
• Travel up to 1 hour each way to patient homes as needed
• Work may be required in homes with animals and/or cigarette smoke

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required; MSN preferred)
• Current, unrestricted RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in home infusion, specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy, or critical care
• At least 1 year of recent (within 5 years) supervisory/administrative experience in a related setting
• Pediatric infusion nursing experience desirable
• Valid driver’s license with minimal restrictions
• Proficiency in all aspects of IV therapies and vascular access devices
• Comfortable with MS Office and electronic documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Must be responsive to emergencies and available during operating hours or as needed for urgent situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care in both an infusion suite and patient homes
• Implement and manage physician orders, providing direct patient assessment, education, and ongoing service scheduling
• Ensure regulatory compliance and timely, accurate documentation
• Oversee administrative functions and facilitate onboarding, competency, and supervision of future staff
• Collaborate on continuous improvement of clinical practices and workflow efficiency
• Support the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care
