Supervisor Nurse Manager - Fairfax, VA

Take on a pivotal leadership role in a brand-new pharmacy and infusion suite, guiding the development and delivery of comprehensive infusion services for both acute and specialty drugs. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to shape a growing program in the home infusion field, with responsibility for both on-site suite care and in-home patient visits.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, variable
• Participation in on-call rotation (including nights and weekends)
• Must be able to drive up to 1 hour each way to patient homes as needed
• Must be comfortable working in home environments with pets and around cigarette smoke

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect skilled nursing care in both the infusion suite and patients’ homes
• Implement and manage physician orders related to infusion therapy
• Provide administrative oversight, including workflow monitoring, compliance, and staff management
• Coordinate patient care and scheduling in collaboration with the clinical team
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in compliance with regulatory standards
• Lead and support future nursing staff: select, train, and mentor as the team expands
• Rapidly respond to emergencies at all hours, ensuring uninterrupted patient care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN required, MSN preferred)
• Active RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of recent experience in home health, home infusion, specialty infusion, or related fields; pediatric experience is ideal
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or administrative management within the last 5 years in home health/infusion or a comparable program
• Proficient in IV therapies and vascular access devices
• Strong skills in staff training, team leadership, and process improvement
• Advanced specialty certifications such as CRNI, ONS, or IgRN preferred
• Valid driver’s license without significant restrictions
• Proficiency with MS Office
