Step into a vital leadership opportunity overseeing nursing operations within a newly established pharmacy and infusion suite. As the dedicated registered nurse, you’ll provide comprehensive care both onsite in the suite and offsite in patients’ homes, supporting the delivery of acute and specialty drug infusions. This position offers the chance to build a high-quality clinical team from the ground up, playing an instrumental role in shaping protocols and elevating patient care standards.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (variable)
- On-call rotation required, covering nights, weekends, and emergencies
- Up to 1 hour driving one way to patient homes as necessary
- Must be comfortable working in environments with animals and cigarette smoke
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect skilled nursing care for a range of infusion therapies
- Implement and manage physician orders; ensure accurate verification and documentation of patient care
- Oversee staff orientation, training, and ongoing clinical competence as new personnel are hired
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and internal quality requirements
- Participate in policy, protocol, and program development alongside senior management
- Ensure timely scheduling, recordkeeping, and billing for nursing services
- Respond promptly to urgent situations, providing after-hours support as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN required; MSN preferred)
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Advanced certification in a specialty area (CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in home infusion, specialty infusion, or a related specialty field
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or administrative management experience in home health/infusion within the past 5 years
- Pediatric nursing background highly desirable
- Demonstrated expertise in IV therapies, vascular access, and infusion procedures
- Valid driver’s license and proficiency in MS Office
