Operating Room Technician - Albion, MI

Step into a vital surgical support role designed for a motivated healthcare professional with expertise in both Operating Room Technology and certified Surgical Technology. Work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your skills and precision make a difference daily.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM CST
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• One on-call shift per week
• Every 6th weekend required
• Assignment duration: November 2, 2026 – January 30, 2027

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (required)
• Practical expertise supporting operating room teams
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program is preferred but not mandatory
• Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Attention to detail and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure settings
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
• Support surgeons and nursing staff with instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before, during, and after procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping as necessary
• Uphold strict adherence to aseptic techniques and hospital safety standards
• Accurately document and report on surgical supplies and procedural steps
