Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a perioperative or surgical setting
• Proficiency as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist, certified or non-certified
• Comprehensive understanding of operating room protocols, sterilization, and instrument handling
• Ability to work effectively alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare staff
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Schedule/Hours:

• Assignments based on facility needs; flexibility may be required to accommodate shifts

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare, organize, and arrange operating room instruments and equipment prior to procedures
• Support nurses and surgical teams before, during, and after procedures by passing instruments and maintaining aseptic conditions
• Ensure surgical supplies are stocked and readily available
• Assist in patient positioning, transport, and other pre/post-operative tasks
• Work collaboratively to maintain a safe and sterile environment at all times
• Properly handle specimens and follow documentation protocols as directed
