As a traveling ORT nurse in this community, you’ll collaborate with seasoned surgical professionals, gaining valuable exposure to a variety of surgical procedures and diverse approaches to patient care. Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment (specific schedule will be coordinated upon placement)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; Associate degree or relevant combination of education/experience preferred
• Scrub technician experience preferred
• Operating room experience and/or surgical tech training preferred
• Surgery Technician Certification preferred
• Current CPR or BLS certification required (AHA or ARC preferred)
• CNA certification preferred

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical cases by ensuring all sterile supplies and equipment are set before procedures
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical operations, passing instruments and supplies efficiently
• Perform and document instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with an RN according to standards
• Monitor and label solutions as per protocol
• Clean equipment, assist with housekeeping, and transport patients as needed
• Provide clerical support and assist with data collection on surgical cases
• Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and organizational safety policies
